Re: Pvt. Fountain Wood Cook, 5th VA Calvary

The historical record is established well documented. Pvt Fountain Cook was killed (KIA) at Five Forks on April 1st, 1865. — not captured. The source provided is “5th Virginia Calvary, 1st edition, by Robert J Driver, Jr) — as well photo copies of muster roles, (on file with the National Park Service) in addition to the living witness account giving by Fountain Lee Cook (1864–1944) as documented by his wife, Mrs. Daisy Cook (my grandmother) and my mother, Virginia Cook and three brothers. If you have any historically supported sources other than supposition, list credible sources and I will look into it. ~M~
