Re: 9th Virginia Cavalry, Co A. Soldier

I too, an looking for information on the 9th VA Cavalry, as My Great Grand Uncle was, John T. Massey, Pvt. Co. "B" He had his mount killed at Gettysburg and was unable to replace the horse. He tranfered to the Caroline Light Artillery, a 6 gun (12 lb. Napoleons)battery in defence of Richmond. I also have the books by Krick and Beale. Any "new" information you may have, and would like to share, I would love to see.
