Okay! traveling west towards Farmville, on highway 460 from Petersburg, you see 1 sign with an arrow pointing north, it says, to Sailors Creek
Battlefield, you turn right, traveling north and cross highway 301, then continue north passing the road to Gullys Tavern, to the top of the
hill, which is where Ewell position was,,,Okay, to the east of Ewells position, about 200 feet there is a large gray granite monument, which
appears to have been placed very recently,,,it says something to the effect that the Battle of Sailors Creek has been recognized as the last
Major battle of the civil war!! My question is,,if this battle has been reclassified (A,B,or C) then would the NPS help conserve it??
