Dixie Grays

Was Company E of the 42nd VA Inf called the Dixie Grays so decimated at the end of the war that there are very few descendants of of these men? I posted a note about the new SCV Camp that was organized at Ladoga, IN and was meeting in the same room where the Stonewall Jackson Camp of the UCV met in the late 1800's and early 1900's. 40 people read the post, but none mentioned being a descendant of one of the Dixie Grays. If you are descended from that illustrious group, I would really like to hear from you.
