Re: Spotslvania Battle picture-clues?

According to Spotslvania Park historian this picture was taken on Alsop Farm:
quote "...... It too was taken at the Alsop Farm,
but it is difficult to tell the direction O'Sullivan was facing when he
took the shot. In his book Grant and Lee: The Virginia Campaigns, p.
110-11, photo historian William Frassanito identifies the dead soldier in
that image as being the same soldier who appears in another image that
looks toward the house. The two shots were taken at 90-degree angles to
one another. The ridge in the background of the picture you sent appears
to be largely cleared of trees. I believe that it looks eastward from a
point south of the building, along the edge of a pine thicket that bordered
the fields a short distance west of the house."
