February, 1863, recorded January 22, 1864 as having been Absent without leave since November 8, 1863, subsequently recorded on October 31, 1864 as Deserted, November 8, 1863, captured in Rappahannock County, April 14, 1864, receipted for an issue of clothing April 28, 1864**, committed to Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D. C. April 20, forwarded to Elmira, N. Y. prison camp July 23, subscribed and swore to the Oath of Allegiance to the United States, June 30, 1865, description: resident at Culpepper C.
