Margaret, If I offend anyone , my apologies. I have read nearly all of the messages in this thread. The messages condemning the men (North or South), I find most disgusting. If you never have been in a fight, how can you say what you will do? Will you rip the other persons eyes out, shot that person one time to many? In the heat of the moment, it is easy to rip off a couple of extra rounds. Those men shot at close range may have elected to fight to the death (no quater). That could easy drive up the passion for killing them. I could go on all day about this but will not. After all, as Hoyt says he desires to tell the truth or facts, but he nor any one of us has EARNED the right to judge these heroes. My last comment on the subject.
