While I do not happen to agree with some of your opinions, assessments, and conclusions expressed within your last post, I would like to say that, for the most part, it is a well reasoned and dignified post. That is big forward progress.

I submit respectfully, that if you would only refrain from accusing almost everyone else other than yourself of bias, we'd be almost home; and the truth of matters would be much more easily obtained.

Of course we all bring some inherent bias to the discussion table...that is human nature, and since it is universal it is unneccesary to continuely point to it. We all have our own experiences that color and/or cloud our perspectives. [This is also why "revised", read that as "corrected", versions of history are *required* for the whole truth to be told.] It is impossible for one person to know the perceptions of another, so it is unwise for one to publically announce that he *knows* another's bias, perception, or any other such internal motivating factor.

That last point is particulary relevant to the events surrounding the battle that is the topic of this discussion. And, of those events following in the aftermath of it, as well. The real truth may never be known for certain.
