Thank you for sharing your information with us. I had a gg-grandpa, William M. Frederick from Marion Co Ala who joined a Union regmt (3rd Ohio Cav). I I found out later there were many men in the northwest counties that joined other union regmts. For only reasons they can say... but I am pround of him! My other gg grandpa was with Thomas's Legion in NC I am equally as proud of him. Just a note... I had a "Roots-list" for folks doing geneology research on Southern Unionist. It is at
