I'm doing this off the top of my head at the moment, but as I recall the Confederate Veteran article about Gracie's Battn. is excellent (and I believe it was submitted by a relative of his). There is also an article in the Confederate Veteran on the Battn. from Nicholas Floyd of the 9th Alabama, who was on the detail.
