"HIGH JACKSON" - LOTS OF UNION SUPPORTERS THERE??

Hmmmmm...friends of mine in Huntsville told me several stories re "High Jackson" (Jackson County) which supposedly had large number of Union supporters during the WBTS??? Anyone knowledgeable out there who can comment on this???
