Good ol' Stanley Smelly, a big man that I admire greatly. He and his camp work very hard to honor the Confederate soldier. They clean more graves than any camp in the area. Ernest Hanks gets about in a wheelchair but I see him at American Legion meetings and occasional events in the Conecuh and Monroe area. His brother, Jerry, lives at Dadeville and married a Johnson cousin of mine. I do not know how much they know of W.H. Hanks but I will call Ernest.
