Robert N. McDaniel

i have ordered copies of the muster rolls of Pvt. Robert McDaniel of the Alabama 23rd Regiment, Company F and from what i see here he has a muster rolls from 1861 to 1863, with the next to last one dated Jan-Feb 1863, saying Commutation due from from Oct. 22-Dec. 31, 1861, then the next is May and June 1863, with the notation "Commutation due since 16 May 62 and "Bounty due". The next to last one of March-April 63 says he is Absent-Sick Hospital Vicksburg and the last it says Off Mobile Harbor Aug. 4, 1863. Received of Lt. Winslow in charge of prisoners on board. S.S. Crescent (611) six hundred eleven prisoners. Then nothing else. three questions, did they get a bounty for a certain amount of service, and second, what happened after they were brought to Mobile? third, based on that date, where was he likely wounded, if that is what it was. Was he disabled at that point and wasn't required to serve anymore or just not required to continue per his enlistment contract? Thanks in advance for your help!
