Thank you for your time. I also saw the two spellings (after I posted the inquiry) I did find a genealogy posting from a family member that shows his name as A Jack Durrett. One Alabama roster from the Alabama archives show him as Capt. Jack Durrett killed near Atlanta. These thing all helped as the Letter from Capt. Kelly simply calls him Capt. Derrettee from Randolph Co. I'm going to call him Capt. AJ (Jack) Durrett Co. G 30th AL
