Re: John Allen Wilkerson Co. H 3rd Arkansas infant

Co. H, 3rd Arkansas Infantry, was an understrength company from Desha County, Arkansas, to which was added about an equal number of Kentuckians who had come to Nashville, Tennessee, looking for a regiment to attach themselves to. They joined forces, divided up the officer and NCO positions equally among the two groups, and formed a fine full-strength company.
