I found the information reading Eathan Allen Pinnells
diary in the book, "Serving with Honor" that my GG Grandfather Joseph C. Pleasants listed on page 61 had Fort
Weightman renamed Fort Pleasants in his honor. Colonel
Pleasants died as a results of wounds suffered at the Battle of Prairie Grove. His only son died, Battle of Helena
I was wondering if attempts are being made to find the Fort.
It appears it was located about 6 miles N of Pine Bluff
and the names White Bluffs and Tar Camp are mentioned.
I would appreciate any information anyone might have.
