Fort Pleasent has in fact been located what is left of it. Most of the Fort has erroded into the Arkansas River over the years. It was located on a bluff (Day's Bluff) on the south bank overlooking the Arkansas River 4 miles upriver from the Jefferson County (Pine Bluff) Courthouse.

The Fort site is presently privately owned and the Camp site is inside a secure Military facility perimeter.
