Bryan,

Thanks so much for the information. Do you know if there are any records that survived from that hospital in Fayetteville? Maybe that's were the information came from that I have on William. Maybe he died in the hospital instead of at a POW camp near fayetteville. I'm sure it would help if I knew which unit he was in while fighting and being captured in Texas but, I have no clue and don't know where or how to find it. I have the infomation on the rest of his family who came from Tennessee to Lawrence County, Missouri and then on to Oklahoma where his wife and several family members are burried.

If you can stear me in the right direction I will continue searching for any and all information available on this William Jones Hood.
