Thomas William Graves born about 1822. Married Margaret Brown Nov.1849. Died 1864. He had older brothers William H. Graves, and John Graves. His younger brother was Giles R. Graves. I think I have found Thomas in Co.D Third Arkansas Calvary. Enlisted Oct.30, 1863. I think his brothers William and John were in Company C of the third AR calvary. Giles seems to be in the 4th Cavalry enlisted Mar.64. All 4 brothers had served in the Confederate ranks before that. I have found Giles in the 11 Ar. Infantry Co. B, captured on Island No. 10, then exchanged at Vicksburg. I think I have found Will and John together in Co.D 37th Arkansas Infantry Enlist on April 26th,1862. There is also a Will and John Graves in the 4th Ar. Cavalry Confederate forces enlisting July 4th 1862. This is probably them rather than the Infanty Graves. I have no records of Will, John or Giles after the War. Only that Thomas died in St. Louis. Thomas would be my great great great grandfather.
