Arkansas had no enrolled militia. Some counties had the social forms such as the Capitol Guards of Little Rock etc. For the most part the Arkansas Militia organized in times of emergency...1820's Indian troubles on western border, 1836 Indian Territory duty during Indian Wars back east... Mexican War 1846 etc. When needed the call went out and they hastily organized. Pretty much the way it was until after Span Am War here in Arkansas.
