His parole certificate records him as a resident of New Orleans. Also, as noted previously, he was dropped, but this was revoked. I have not been able to
locate a record for him in the unfiled records.

The letter of recommendation in his file describe him as " . . . an active, intelligent, business man of good moral character . . . "

There was a B. Taylor, age 29, New Orleans Post Office residing in the household of Michael & Catharine Hynes. Looks like a boarding house. 1860 Louisiana Federal Census.

I do not find him in the 1870 census.

I am no longer a subscriber of Ancestry, as such I cannot open up the enumeration sheet to ID his occupation.
