Yes, working with the descendant who originally transcribed them. There were 4 brothers, 3 CS and 1 US. All were in service no by early 1862. Only the US survived. Probably over 200 letters from them and other relatives and amazing the family was able to keep them, although they were not all together.

Jean material is coarser weave than a tight weave wool like the Cadet grey worn in ANV and cadets at West Point and VMI.
