I am not certian about the county of origin of the "Yell Guards". I believe their commander was from Jefferson County, but this unit is not found in the "List of Militia Officers" so I am not really certian where it came from.

I know the "Yell Rifles" is Cleburne's old company from Phillips county.

Maybe Bryan can clear up the background on the "Yell Guards".
