I wonder if this connection to the 13th LA CAV BN is the reason for the eight 13th Regiment, Arkansas Cavalry Soldier listed in the CSRs. At first I thought these were probably members of the 13th Arkansas Infantry, but none of them appear to have a connection to the 13th Infantry.
