I would be interested in knowing which direction from Turner Bend the rock is located. Lonnie Turner has coffee with me every morning. He will find it for me.

If you have not already done so I recommend Nancy Danes book "Tattered Glory"/ It is primarily a collection of dispatches and other communications between army commanders in the river valley during the war. Her emphasis is on Clarksville and Johnson county but it covers a much larger area than that.
