W.R. Cook

Wiliam Riland Cook of Washington, Madision Co.served with Col Wm. Brooks in a group called the White River 100 before CSA service.Brooks was a shirt tail relative.Family history indicates that he later served with Brooks in the 34th.Alton Il. prison records indicate that he was captured at the battle of Helena and died at the prison Prison .They show him as being in the 6th Ark.I do not find him with Brooks on records I have located.I do not think the 6th was at Helena.Did he serve with Brooks or the 6th? W>R was my GGGrandfathers brother. Thanks Jim Cook
