apparently the only record of W.R's service is the notation that he was captured at Helena.I read Brooks after battle report where he states he lost only one man and it was not W.R., I can't member the name and my OR cd quit so cannot find it now. Do the after battle report on losses show others?Brooks unit was recruited in NW ark. Was the 6th?The family certainly believed he was with Brooks.Another of the many unknowns that makes the history of the people so interesting. Thanks. Jimc
