The "Quantrill Special Collections Research" collection at the Gentry Public Library in Gentry, Benton County, Arkansas, is NOW open to the public!! This unique collection consists of materials like books on the subject of Quantrill and the Kansas-Missouri border wars that can be found both nationwide and some that were only published and distributed in the Kansas City-Independence-Lone Jack areas of Missouri! There are three notebooks crammed full of Confederate Home and Pension applications of over FIFTY of Quantrill's men that are available upon request for your research and perusing enjoyment! Also, there are over FORTY binders filled with stories, research, genealogy and various informational materials! Plus several Quantrill roster lists and two printed pages for you to pick up and keep of the various "new" Quantrill guerrillas and Missouri Conf. soldiers that are buried in the four county area of Benton, Washington, Madison and Carroll counties! These pages list the guerrilla / Missouri soldier, where he is buried, the city or county of burial, his outfit and regiment and the list of Quantrill / Anderson men that they served with! The best part of these pages are the events that these guerrillas were in such as the LAWRENCE RAID, BAXTER SPRINGS, CENTRALIA, and many more!!
