The link below takes you back to an archived discussion with Bryan Howerton regarding some of the desertions in the 36th. I would want Bryan to weigh in on this, but I don't think that Glenn had a seperate regiment from the 28th/36th. I think that in truth, McRea's association with the unit was actually very short and that Glenn was in nominal command almost from the begining since McRea was quicky elivated to Brigade command. I think that you see references to the unit as Glenn's regiment even though McRea was still technically the commander until he was promoted to Brigadier General in November 1862. I assume that you are associated with the thesis that was written several years ago by a Major Price?
