Well, I know a little about him from all of my civil war research. I know who his 1st wife was and that he was a school teacher there at the Read School at Nuna. I don't know much about him afterwards though. Never could figure his relationship to living with the Pelton's in Beaver township which is a pretty good distance from the Sardis Community. Seems he was there by himself, a single young man and no family near so would have to look in to where his family may have been living here. There is a George Reed in Saline Tsp who could possibly have been related but without more research no proof of any closeness.

So the grandaughter may be the last connection that can provide any info on Corin Read. You do know he is buried in Bryant Cemetery?
