I am reposting from an email that Alan Thompson sent me. He has been digging in CSRs and other palces trying help me figure out the composition of Shelbys forces, and secifically McCray's Brigade during the Action at Ashley's Station.

Thanks! It is strange how that report is broken up in different parts of the same volume! I think I need to add this to my article on the 46th!

Yeah, I don't recall seeing one like that before. This same volume has the order of battle for Price's Raid and has the 45th and 47th, and a Missouri unit under McCray. Coleman is on the next page as unattached.

I'll browse through the service records for those guys on fold3 and see if I can find any guys in the 40's series listed as a casualty and get back to ya.
