I have what I believe is a colt army serial No. 12689
how do I know this is not a replica.
It has the serial number in the brass and two places in front of it. I believe the brass has been replaced as the serial number has very listtle wear comapred to the other two numbers but I'm not sure the whole gun is not maybe an older replica ???

Any help would be really appreciated !!!
