I once owned an original Colt 1860 Army. Only the wedge had been replaced. I don't remember the numbers, but they did match. However, the backstrap was also brass, not steel. I know some 1851 Navy Colts had steel backstraps, but did not know any of the Armys did. Unfortunately, some so and so stole it from me during a move after I got out of the Navy.
