If I were you, I wouldn't be too disappointed. If you have documented provenance that the weapon was issued to a named Confederate soldier, that is a rare item. But remember, to a collector this day & age, it has to be documented evidence & mot just a story passed down. Even at that, if it is a Confederate made weapon, that is highly desirable & worth a bunch.
