I recently purchased a Mass Arms Kerr/Adams Navy 36 caliber revolver with serial number 28 (I hope this is not a batch number because it is the only stamped number on the frame.) I understand that Mass produced 1,000 of these revolvers and that the US Army purchaed 600 of the revolvers and that 200 of the Navy revolvers were documented as being seized from John Brown.

I have heard that Mass sold a number of the Navy revolvers to Va. prior to the start of the war. Any idea on how to document if revolvers were sold to Va or Brown? Thanks
