Hi Greg,

Somewhat surprised that you ask this, check your files, email from Howard regarding your question to him on this subject. I think in this thread or the other you made a statement regarding the surplus Guidons.

No idea on which depot the 7th received their flags, haven’t found the quartermasters communication on these flags. However, the Standard is a New York Depot pattern made during the war. I put a picture of a known New York Depot Cavalry Standard in my original post in this thread.
It has been awhile, I saw the 9th & 10th flags (New York Depot pattern) at Fort Leavenworth when they held the Buffalo Soldier Monument celebration. They also had on display their other flags & Guidons and one of the original garrison flags of Ft Leavenworth.
