Here is a comparison of the Salisbury flag with the Chrysler museum flag that I made for an earlier post last year when the flag went up for auction. Actually the flag first belong to the Norfolk museum and that was absorbed by the Chrysler museum in the early 70s. While there was some mention of this being a naval flag because it had a rope sewn into the hoist, I still have my doubts as the Stonewall Jackson casket flag had a rope sewn into its hoist. No one is calling that a naval flag.
