.. Acknowledged. Apparently somewhere along the line someone did. The museum folks stated that someone (unknown to me who or when) "reportedly" claimed these signal flags were attributed to the Alabama in some form or fashion but didnt really gave me detailed specifics. But since their history was questionable they arent actualy labled as such. Also apparently there is an ongoing dispute amongst differing sides of the same donating family group about these flags. So as the reasons they have not been displayed or done anything further with them untill the internal family dispute is settled. I didnt get to see the signal flags in question personally while we were there. The flags were just a small sideline clip that I was able to slip into the filming since I have such an interest in them in general, so we didnt have a lot of time to spend on them. Our primary focus of being there was filming other resident artifacts there for the documentary.

On a side note I have found it quite interesting working on this documentary, the number of flags that I have stubbled across in both museum and private collections out there long since hidden or stored away from public view and knowledge.
