Thank you very much Virgil! I/we work on the "Captured Union Infantry Flags" on all the battles from day one to the last day. Same with "Union Captured artillery and Union Captured Cavalry flags/guidons."

I was curious why so many Confederate captured flags were missing (War Department numbers wise). Gregg and another gentleman explained in great detail why. I/we do not get into the "Confederate Captured Flags." I feel that I/we would be stepping on many feet from outstanding experts in that field. In our research at the NA/LOC nine out of ten times we find Confederate flags captured. I still believe that G.A.R. Ghost is hiding in both buildings and sabotaging our research lol.

I can't do too much out here in Afghanistan, but my number one goal is to eliminate loose paperwork. I am a terrible researcher and disorganized person. I just never stopped to consolidate nearly twenty-three years of research/reading etc. So now, I have hundreds of notebooks and just piles and piles, just endless piles of loose paperwork. That is my goal till I retire next year to cut down on that loose paperwork, consolidate everything and see what we have. My wife and I have a brand new system, so that is cutting down the loose paperwork and time.

As I joke around, I will probably be one-hundred and seventy-three years old when this is all done. lol
