It is possible that not all of Field's regiments got ANV 4th Bunting flags. Due to the supply of wool bunting often being tenuous I would think that the depot would only make flags as needed to replace captures, shot to shreds flags, etc. I suppose that some colonels could order new flags anyway. There were a lot of Third Bunting flags still in use in 1865 so the 15th Alabama flag from Gettysburg might still have been used by the regiment in April 1865 as well.

We just don't know for sure.
