Amelia Fowler came to the fore when she and her workers stitched the Star Spangled Banner to an Irish Linen background using her process patented in 1913, as seen below. The Massachusetts state archives has her collection of over 400 B/W photos of flags she and her daughter, Katherine Fowler Richie, preserved with that technique. The files came from the Lycoming County Historical Society and Museum, Williamsport, PA, in June of 1992.
