Re: Flags of the 15th and 32nd North Carolina

North Carolina Troops, 1861-'65, p. 514, by Captain William L. London (Co. I, 32nd NC) mentions that at Carlisle, Pennsylvania during the Gettysburg campaign, General Ewell "presented them with the only regular Confederate flag that was in the corps (all the other flags were battle flags), and the Thirty-second Regiment carried that flag in the battle of Gettysburg." The flag was the subject of an exchange with Greg Biggs on this board on 3 January 2003. To quote Greg: "They continued to use this flag afterwards. The flag was captured at Spotsylvania in 1864 (WD 124) and it resides at the Museum of the Confederacy."
