I started research on the 6th Texas Cavalry Regiment in about 2002 and have seen very little on their flags. In 1862 they became part of the Whitfield / Ross Texas Cavalry Brigade and part of Van Dorn's Division / Corps. They probably used Van Dorn's flag until 1863 when Van Dorn was shot. After that I think they faught under a version of the battle flag. Can anyone help me find the flags of the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 27th Texaas Cavalry Regiments and The Whitfield / Ross Brigade?
