The "Rock City Guards" were Company B, 1st (Maney's) Tennessee Infantry Regiment. This company's men were from Davidson County, Tennessee. Sam Watkins (Company Aytch fame) was in Company H of this regiment. He does not mention the capture of Company B's colors.
