There was only one muster roll for Company I which is found in the Compiled Service Records. That is for the period December 31, 1864 to May 5, 1865 where they were stationed at Camp Preston, Fla. George W. Ball was not recorded in these records.

Unfortunately, there is no record of his service in the Compiled Service Records.

was alerted to the presence
of Asboth's forces in
northwestern Jackson County
by a courier from the
