Dear Sir: I am trying to find some more information regarding my great, great Grandfather Andrew Jackson Barber. I would appreciate any information you could give me. He was born in N Florida July 9, 1839, moved to Orange county August 15, 1855. He fought in the 3rd Seminole War under the leadershop of Journegan, Bullock, Carter, Sparkman and Kendricks. Years later it was my understanding that he served in Co E, 5th Florida Cavalry during the Civil War under the Confederate Flag. I don't know much more about the battles he served in, rank or status during the war.
Very kindly yours,
Steve Baker
Son of Dorothy Barber
