65th Ga Infantry Flag

My husband's second great grandfather was in Company D of the 65th Regiment Georgia Infantry and carried the flag at one time. He brought the flag home with him after the war. I have a good picture of the flag and would love to learn its history and that of the company. His name was John Davis from Texas Valley, in Rome Georgia. He had two brothers, Joseph A & George W Davis who served in the same company. All information is greatly appreciated and please accept our thanks in advance for your help.
