I am not at work now and the only info I have on the 65th is from Sifakis, it is as follows:

Georgia 65th Infantry Regiment
Organization: Organized by the increase if the Infanry Battalion , Smith's Legion to a regiment in March 1863. Field consolidation with the 8th Infantry Battalion from the fall of 1864 to April, 1865. Additional field conolidation with the 2nd Sharpshooters Battalion in April 1865. Surrendered by General Joseph E. Johnston at Durham Station, Orange County North Carolina on April 26, 1865.

First Commander: John S. Fain (Colonel)
Field Officers: Robert H. Moore (Lieutentant Colonel)
Jacob W. Pearcy (Major, Lieutentant Colonel)
Samuel F. Williams (Major)

Assignments: I want list them all, was in the AOT lst Corps under Triggs Briage, Kelly's Brigade, Jackson's Brigade and Gist's Brigde.

Battles" Chicakamauga (September 19-20, 1863)
Chattanooga Seige (September-November 1863)
Atlanta Campaign (May-September 1864)
Peach Tree Creek (July 20, 1864)
Atlanta (July 22, 1864)
Jonesboro (August 31-September 1, 1864)
Franklin (November 30, 1864)
Nashville (December 15-16, 1864)
Carolina Campaign (February-April, 1865)

If you would like more info, I can check when I go back to work on Monday and see what we have on the 65th..
