I found a site called Sherpa guide and it mentioned a number of skirmishes in Burke County during Sherman's March, both of which included clashes with Wheeler's Cavalry. Seems Judson Kilpatrick ran into Wheeler in late November, and a few days later, Sherman sent in some infantry which ran Wheeler out of Waynesboro. A site of one of the engagements was the Belleview Plantation which is still there.
