My great great grandfather's service records show he was wounded December 4, 1864 in Waynesboro, Georgia. The service records show him in 2nd Georgia Cavalry Company E from enlistment to wounding and then stop. In going through the messages on this thread, I see various references to Cavalry. Does anyone have any information on 2nd Georgia Cavalry Company E at the December 4 battle of Waynesboro?

Also, I have been trying to find out if he died from his wounds, death date and burial. Can anyone help me?
